In a modest cabinet reshuffle on Wednesday, President Muhammadu Buhari fired two ministers.
Saleh Mamman, the Minister of Power, and Sabo Nanono, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, are among those affected.
Buhari’s spokesman, Femi Adesina, verified this.
The Minister of Environment, Mohammad Mahmood Abubakar, is scheduled to take over as the new Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Minister of Power will be Abubakar Aliyu, the Minister of State for Works and Housing.
Buhari has a reputation for avoiding dismissing ministers or rearranging his cabinet.
He is the only Nigerian president in four years who has not reshuffled his cabinet since 1999.
