In response to what transpired in the same competition last month, UEFA issues a harsh caution to the Premier League winners before they can enjoy their victory.
Manchester City has apparently received a warning from UEFA as a result of the team’s delayed start.
That was in reference to Manchester City’s 2-1 win over Borussia Dortmund at the Etihad Stadium last month in the Champions League.
In addition to the club, UEFA also personally warned Pep Guardiola, the head coach of the first team, about the delayed kickoff.
In other Manchester City-related news, UEFA has issued severe warnings and heavy fines to Sevilla and Borussia Dortmund for infractions that occurred earlier in the season.
According to official announcements this week, the La Liga team has been forced to pay City for the harm Sevilla fans did to their team van before the September 6 Champions League encounter.
Additionally, UEFA fined the Spanish club €5,000 for the incident.
Borussia Dortmund received the same fine for the harm their fans caused to the Etihad Stadium on September 14.
Similar to Sevilla, the Bundesliga team has been instructed to contact Manchester City to negotiate compensation payments.
Manchester City will continue its Premier League schedule on Sunday in the early afternoon.
The Danish visitors kept the Blues to just one point on Tuesday night in Copenhagen, but Pep Guardiola and his group are eager to make amends.
With two games remaining, City will still advance, but Dortmund will challenge them for first place in Group G when Dortmund drew with Sevilla later that evening.
