Diaz’s father has previously expressed his son’s admiration for Barcelona, stating, “Luis is a loyal Barcelona fan, and it would be his dream to go there.” Should Barcelona manage to assemble a sufficient bid for Liverpool, Diaz is reportedly willing to play his part in facilitating the transfer.

However, Barcelona has also identified alternative options in case the move for Diaz doesn’t materialize. Athletic Club’s Nico Williams, RB Leipzig’s Dani Olmo, and Porto’s Brazilian international Pepe are among the other wingers under consideration by the Catalan club.
