Former Anambra state Governor Peter Obi has stated that he will appear at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) headquarters as soon as he receives a letter to that effect.
Obi stated this in a statement issued on Monday by his spokesman, Valentine Obienyem.

He also denied making any statement about his invitation in connection with the Pandora Papers.
According to stolen documents obtained by Premium Times, Obi had an overseas account that he failed to declare on the asset disclosure form issued by the Code of Conduct Bureau.
The EFCC later summoned him in connection with the incident.
However, Obi, the Peoples Democratic Party’s Vice-Presidential contender in the 2019 election, stated that the EFCC may have invited him but the letter was delivered to an old office location.
“From what is circulating, the letter appears to have been sent to an office he is no longer a part of and has yet to reach him,” the statement said.
“As a law-abiding Nigerian, Obi will always honor any genuine invitations from government agencies.”
