President Muhammadu Buhari will pay a visit to Imo State on Thursday, September 9, according to Governor Hope Uzodinma.
On Saturday, Uzodinma revealed this to media at the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport in Owerri.

Following his return from an important trip to Abuja, the Governor stated that Buhari would commission some “major projects” carried out by his government.
He went to Abuja to “address some political affairs and other key issues that need be handled in Abuja,” he said.
He identified the difficulties as obtaining help from the Federal Government for World Bank programs on rural roads, ecological programs, the Nigeria Erosion and Watershed Management (NEWMAP) projects, and other erosion control issues.
“While in Abuja, I was able to get consent for President Muhammadu Buhari to visit Imo on Thursday, September 9, to commission some major projects put together by the Shared Prosperity Administration.
Furthermore, Imo has been able to secure further cooperation from Mr. President in the management of certain of the state’s environmental issues,” he added.
Uzodinma acknowledged the gravity of the role entrusted to him by the party as Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Council for the Anambra governorship race.
The governor stated that he was doing all possible to spread the message of what the people will gain if they vote for the APC in the November 6 election.
He urged Anambra residents and those in the South-East in general to join the APC, saying that “those who support the party at the center will get both their rights and benefits.”
