Despite recently signing a new deal with Napoli, Victor Osimhen may be departing the club in the coming summer, according to football agent Dario Canovi, as reported by Soccernet.ng.

Osimhen, who played a pivotal role in Napoli’s Scudetto victory last season with 31 goals, became the first African to win the Capocannoniere. His outstanding performance has attracted interest from top European teams such as Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Chelsea, and Arsenal. Despite the speculation, Osimhen chose to stay with Napoli last summer, leading to contract extension talks initiated by Napoli chief Aurelio De Laurentiis.

The negotiations culminated in a one-year contract extension until 2026, signed by Osimhen last week. However, Canovi, an experienced transfer agent, suggests that the extension is primarily aimed at increasing Osimhen’s market value, expressing his belief that the striker will leave Napoli in June.

Canovi remarked, “It is a renewal that simply serves to increase the price. In my opinion, he will go away in June,” as per Napoli Magazine. Reports indicate a release clause of €130 million in Osimhen’s contract, potentially facilitating an exit. Speculation is strong that he could make a move to the Premier League.
