“I have no doubt that you left the courtroom believing that these individuals are monsters,” she asserted.
She continues: “This case has all the ingredients for an excellent drama.
“It has fame, fortune, and sex.
“But like all excellent dramas, there was, in my opinion, a major narrative twist that played out right in front of your eyes for the past 15 weeks.
“I would like to say that everything you have seen and heard in this illustrious paneled room should make you shiver with horror.
“Because you witnessed an incredible trial,” the speaker says.
She claimed that even if a Premier League football player was involved, it was not remarkable.
“It is unusual because you witnessed a lady come before you, swear under oath in this court to speak the truth, and then lie while presenting compelling, emotive, and heartbreaking proof that she had been raped by two males.
“The fact that we could show it, rather than the defendant having to prove anything, makes it extraordinary.

According to Ms. Wilding, the jury was instructed by the prosecution to “set to one side” Woman Seven’s testimony and focus on the other complainants.
“I say you have the best illustration of how chillingly simple it is for a girl who is at the center of that intricate network of connections to make a false complaint,” she said.
The jury is urged by Ms. Wilding to picture themselves in the public gallery, watching their son, brother, or friend go on trial.
