Prior to the start of the 2021/22 season, Kane sought to force through a transfer to Manchester City, but Tottenham refused to trade their talisman at any price.
Instead, Kane has stayed with Spurs, but even with Antonio Conte at the helm and a track record of success, the club’s primary goal for the season is to place in the top four.
Ferdinand urged his former employers to break the band in order to sign the World Cup Golden Boot winner, as he is sure that Kane is the ideal solution to United’s difficulties at center-forward.

Tottenham are unlikely to ever win anything, Merson argued in agreement with Ferdinand.
“He plays for a team in Tottenham that is going to lose everything, and definitely sooner or later his head is going to be turned by a move again,” the pundit continued.
“I’m not sure what I’m overlooking here. You are purchasing more than 100 goals even if he costs £150 million and has a four- or five-year contract. Who else is going to provide that for you?
Spurs may have to make a difficult choice over Kane’s future at the end of the current campaign if the English record scorer does not reach an agreement on a new contract as his current term is approaching its final 12 months.
