Diego Simeone has used the player, who has been the subject of controversies at Wanda Metropolitan stadium, across the front line in a variety of different formations this season. In 20 club appearances, he has five goals and three assists.

On Sunday, Atletico started Felix in a front-two as they fell to league-leading Barcelona 1-0 at home. At the end of 73 minutes, he was replaced.

Chelsea are now in advanced talks to sign Joo Félix from Atlético Madrid on loan until June, deal at final stages,” claims Fabrizio Romano.

“A buy option clause has not yet been agreed; a pure loan could be made till June. Talks increased after injuries in the most recent games, so the fee will be greater than €10 million with salary and taxes paid. Fabrizio tacked on

Chelsea has already been active in the January transfer window, signing defender Benoit Badiashile from Monaco, striker David Datro Fofana from Molde, and forward Andrey Santos from Vasco da Gama.

A number of clubs, including Manchester United, Arsenal, and other LaLiga teams, were interested in Felix in addition to Chelsea. If all goes according to plan, Felix will become a Blue before the week is over.
