Liverpool and Real Madrid are engaged in a fierce battle to secure the services of Kylian Mbappe, the talented forward from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). According to FIFA agent Marco Kirdemir, Liverpool is ready to make a groundbreaking offer of approximately €300m (£258m), potentially making Mbappe the most expensive player in the history of the sport. Kirdemir revealed this information while speaking to Marca, stating that Liverpool is competing with Real Madrid and is willing to spend a considerable fortune on Mbappe.

Although Mbappe is approaching the final year of his contract, Kirdemir expects PSG to demand a substantial transfer fee to sanction his departure. The uncertainty surrounding Mbappe’s future in Paris arose when he informed the club through a letter that he has no intention of extending his contract beyond the upcoming summer. While the French forward has expressed his commitment to honoring the final year of his contract, PSG is determined to avoid losing him for free in June 2024 and would prefer to sell him during this transfer window.

Real Madrid is widely regarded as the frontrunner in the race to acquire the 24-year-old striker. They narrowly missed out on signing him last year when Mbappe ultimately decided to stay at PSG.
