Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo has disclosed that he considers French stars N’Golo Kante and Paul Pogba as his football idols. Caicedo expressed the significance of the shirts worn by Pogba and Kante, describing them as particularly special to him.

In an interview with Sky Sports leading up to Chelsea’s Premier League home match against Sheffield United, Caicedo expressed his admiration for the duo. He shared, “N’Golo Kante and Paul Pogba were my idols in football. I loved watching them.”

Recalling his early experiences playing in his neighborhood, Caicedo mentioned learning a great deal from playing with his older brother’s friends. He went on to describe memorable moments of meeting his idols. “Meeting N’Golo Kante – it was amazing. I was at Brighton, on the bench. I think it was 1-1. After the game, I ran straight to Kante to swap shirts. He said ‘Yes, of course.’ He was very kind to me. It was an incredible moment for me because I met my idol.”

Caicedo continued to share a similar experience with Paul Pogba, emphasizing the special significance of the shirts he exchanged with both players. “It was the same with Paul Pogba, and I swapped shirts with him. I have the shirts back in Ecuador. Nobody can take the shirts away. They are so special to me.”
