According to him, the decision was made due to an improvement in the state’s security situation.
Displaced people will now be able to return to their ancestral homes, according to Zulum.
“I came to update the president on the state administration of Borno’s efforts to ensure the return of internally displaced individuals to their homes.”
“So far, so good,” Zulum remarked. “The Borno state government has started well, and arrangements have been made to assure the closure of all internally displaced persons’ camps in Maiduguri on or before December 31.”
He went on to say that Bornoe is working with the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs to ensure the safe return of displaced people in Niger and Cameroon.
