Samuel Ortom, the Governor of Benue State, has urged the Federal Government to expand its war on bandits from the North West to the North Central geographical zone.
Governor Ortom made the remarks while receiving members of the Niger Delta Bishop’s Voice and Minister’s Forum, NDBVAMF, on a courtesy visit to the Benue Peoples House in Makurdi today.

He suggested that security officers hunting bandits’ hideouts in Zamfara State, a North-Western state, should be extended to the North Central to flush out the bandits and restore calm to the region.
He lambasted the country’s dreadful condition of insecurity and corruption under the APC-led administration in the center, saying his dedication is solely to Nigeria’s peace and unity.
Governor Ortom praised the NDBVAMF for its support for the people of Benue State, emphasizing that as a Bible student, he understands that any leader who swears an oath to the Bible or the Quoran and violates its provisions will face God’s vengeance.
While asking foes of Benue to leave the state for good, Archbishop Moses Omonkhuale, the National President of NDNVAMF, advised Governor Ortom to be courageous, calling him as the David of our time.
He added that God will defend the Governor’s name by putting the state’s opponents to disgrace.
The Bishop-Elect, Silas Nwafor, who read the Bishops’ speech, declared that enemies of Benue who arrive by air, land, or sea will always fail.
