Yemi Osinbajo, the former Lagos Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, was chosen ahead of Ekiti Governor Kayode Fayemi.

According to reports, Tinubu requested Buhari to reiterate his commitment, which the President supposedly did. The meeting is thought to have taken place in January of 2018.

In an interview with the Daily Trust, Amaechi claims he had no knowledge of the claimed agreement’s specifics.
