Rooney lauds Rashford
Rashford’s genius was recognized by Rooney, who tweeted a message to his former teammate.
Class @MarcusRashford, he wrote. Let’s continue it.
When Manchester United plays Manchester City this weekend, Rashford will face a significant challenge in trying to extend his streak.
The England international has scored against City in the past; as a teenager, he scored the game-winning goal against them; but, his recent record against them has been less impressive.
In 16 outings against City, he has scored four goals, the most recent of which was a consolation in January 2020.
It’s about time he got back on track against them; besides, no one would be courageous enough to wager against him the way he’s playing.
