The legal practitioners privilege committee (LPPC) recognized 72 lawyers Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SAN) at its 149th plenary session on Thursday.
In September, 130 lawyers were shortlisted for the position, including 95 advocates and 35 academics.

72 of the 130 individuals who were shortlisted were chosen, while 58 were not.
The 72 legal practitioners will be sworn in by the chief justice of Nigeria (CJN) on December 8, 2021 at the supreme court premises in Abuja, according to a statement released by the LPPC on Thursday.
