Declaring that Wizkid is the best artist in Nigeria, he made a somewhat ambiguous comment. Sam Klef claims that the respect and admiration Wizkid commands from other musicians is the foundation for this assertion.
This somewhat veiled shade was perceived as a dig at Davido, especially in the wake of a brief online confrontation between the two the previous day. The source of this conflict stemmed from a video that surfaced showing Davido and his wife, Chioma, with their twins.
Davido was quick to notice that Sam Klef had been one of the initial individuals to post the video, and he reached out to request that it be taken down. In frustration, Davido labeled Sam Klef as “wicked” for sharing what he considered a highly sensitive video. However, to the dismay of Davido, Sam Klef refused to remove the video, going as far as to reveal that he had sourced the video on Twitter, where an insider had already made it public. In response, Sam Klef offered some advice to Davido, urging him to be more cautious and discerning about the people within his inner circle.
The result of this exchange was that Davido unfollowed and blocked Sam Klef, a move that clearly stung. As a consequence, Sam Klef unleashed a series of rants on social media, which was reported by Kemi Filani.
Fast forward to today , and it is evident that Sam Klef had not cooled down. He woke up with an even more fierce stance boldly declaring that Wizkid occupies the top spot in the Nigerian music industry.
His statement was influenced by the star-studded attendance at the burial of Wizkid’s mother the previous day, where numerous celebrities paid their respects to the star.
