Arsenal center-back William Saliba asserts that the team cannot settle for a draw against Manchester City as they aim for the Premier League title.

Saliba’s side secured a positive result with a goalless draw at the Etihad Stadium, leaving Arsenal just two points behind Liverpool at the top of the table, with City trailing in third place.

However, Saliba believes the team should aim for more than just a draw. “No, we cannot be satisfied when we draw, but it is OK,” he stated. “We learn from some games where we cannot win, but we don’t have to lose. That’s why we did well. So yeah, we leave with one point, but we are not satisfied.”

Reflecting on the match, Saliba highlighted the importance of focus against a formidable opponent like Manchester City. “I think it’s more in our head, because we know it’s the best team in the world, Manchester City. So we have to be focused on the game,” he explained.

Saliba also praised teammate Gabriel for his contribution in containing Erling Haaland, emphasizing the collective defensive effort of the team.

Looking ahead, Arsenal remains committed to their pursuit of Premier League silverware. They face Luton on Wednesday before a crucial clash with league leaders Liverpool.
