In the Olota neighborhood of the Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos, a husband who has not yet been named is accused of killing his wife because she neglected to prepare his dinner on Thursday.

PUNK Metro learnt that difficulties started when the husband, who was said to have returned from work, discovered that the wife merely made noodles rather than his favored dish.

The deceased was allegedly left in the house by the suspect after he beat her to a pulp and struck her on the crown of her head with a heavy object, according to an eyewitness who did not want to be identified in the media out of fear of intimidation.

Speaking on the subject, a source in the Meiran Police Division said the suspect was arrested after the brother of the deceased victim approached the station about the wife’s convulsions. The source told PUNCH Metro that the husband was called by his neighbor to inform him that his wife was convulsing, and that all attempts by the husband and the neighbors to rush the convulsing wife to the hospital were said to have hit the rock because she was said to have died midway.

“The deceased’s brother came to report the matter,” the source stated. He alleged his sister was killed by the husband.

Nevertheless, no one has come forward to claim that her spouse killed her. The husband has been taken into custody. The State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, has already taken up the case.

The police source stated that it was difficult to determine whether there was evidence that the husband killed the wife because they believed the deceased had been buried by the family.

The source went on, “We cannot say that we stop investigating; justice must be served, and the district unit will carry out its duties to determine whether the husband really beat her to death as claimed. “When we arrived, none of the neighbors were willing to provide us with credible information regarding this; it happened on Thursday, and nobody had come out to testify to the claim or the cause of death until this morning, before we transferred the matter to Panti.
