The terrible attack on his colleague Ibrahim Bello Sanyay, well known as Baba Lawori, has angered Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi.

Gossipinfo reported early this month that the Yoruba actor had cried out to Nigerians for help over a brutal attack from one of the aides of Lagos socialite Koko Zaria. In a post on his Instagram page, he recounted how he was performing as a Master of Ceremony at an event on Idumu Day when a stranger approached him, claiming that Koko Zaria wanted to see him, unknowingly that it was a set-up. When he arrived, Koko Zaria questioned why he didn’t acknowledge him. Baba Lawori had apologised, promising to make corrections, when one of his associates smashed a bottle on his head, and he was covered in his own blôod and lost consciousness.

Taking to his Instagram page, Yomi Fabiyi shared a video of the actor being forced into a car as he questioned how long his colleagues and Nigerians were going to be silent about it.

Revealing how scared he was, he prayed that the actor wouldn’t die from the injury as he noted how a head injury is serious. Yomi states that he was posting this while also seriously attending to his health, but he can’t ignore Baba Lawori’s plight.

He further questioned if one must always protest before getting the right things.

“Omg! Just got this news. Lawori is a veteran actor-comedian, for heaven’s sake. I just pray this man does NOT die from this injury. HEAD INJURY IS SERIOUS. I am getting scared!

How long are we going to be silent about this?

I am posting this while I am seriously attending to my own health. But I can’t just ignore and never act. I FEAR ONLY GOD. The assailant is walking free with confidence that he is untouchable.

MUST WE PROTEST BEFORE THE RIGHT THINGS ARE DONE?”.

Commenting under his post, Damola Olatunji prayed the actor gets justice at the right time.

He wrote, “God bless you. I pray he gets justice at the right time”.
