Nigerians on social media have reacted to a purported N2000 cash prize granted by Kogi State University to its first-class graduates.

“This was at a recent convocation at Kogi State University,” a Twitter user who claimed to have observed the prize ceremony captioned a photo of the cheque. All first-class graduating students received N2000, while the overall best graduands received N5000.”

A Twitter user @Yusuf Ismail wrote, “Oh my people! Na who do us like this . Someone who does nothing in bbn can be rewarded with over a 100m in less than 3 months but those who strive to study got 2k in 4 years.”
