“I do not have a serious injury,” Osimhen said on the club’s website. “I felt a little discomfort and thought it best to inform my coach. If I had stayed on, it could have negatively impacted the team. I didn’t want my teammates’ performance to suffer, so I spoke with Mauro (Icardi) and the coach, which is why I left the game.”

He continued, “As a team, we are unhappy; we deserved the three points. Sometimes, football doesn’t go as planned. I’m pleased to have scored two goals, but we’re all disappointed with the draw. We need to work hard and focus on winning the next match.”

Despite the draw, Galatasaray remains at the top of the league table.
