Nollywood actress Laide Bakare, who wrote the book “Becoming Laide Bakare,” has taken aim at online trolls who have been criticizing her attire from her first book presentation.
Laide Bakare launched her book on Sunday, March 3 and video from the events surfaced on social media. At her book launch, she was seen in a cream jumpsuit paired with an orange kimono.
Another video captured the beautiful mother of three donning a sky-blue knee-length gown as she joyfully danced with guests. Fans, however, were not pleased with her outfits.

Her lively celebration and outfits became the subject of scrutiny among online viewers. Critics particularly focused on her makeup and the moment she spiritedly threw her kimono into the crowd, questioning the identity of her makeup artist and her overall presentation.
In no time, Laide Bakare replied critics, stating that the outfit and skit was designed by her and trolls do not know better than her.
The movie star went ahead to question trolls, wondering why critics weren’t talking about her human hair which cost 1.8 million naira.
She wrote, “My stage performance costume, that got them talking 🤩🤣 But wait o, shebi Na me write ✍️ script and design d costume How come you now know better than the owner? Open your brain. It’s A costume for stage play. Ori yin ma ti ku o. O which kain over sabi dey worry una self?🤣”.
