The 53-year-old artist was moved to tears of joy as fans showered her with love, serenading her with some of her own songs at an event.
Tope Alabi, seated alongside her husband of 23 years, Olusoji Alabi, attended the gathering organized by fellow gospel singer Bidemi Aloba on December 1st, 2023, in Maryland, Lagos.

Before she was invited on stage at the event tagged “In his presence”, they started singing her songs, at this moment Tope Alabi was seen beaming with smiles on her face.
Swiftly, Tope Alabi was seen in tears as the audience members stood up and started singing word for word to his rendition.
Tope is an established name in the Nigerian music industry with more than a dozen albums. She breaks into prominence in the year 2021 with her hit song “Ore ti o common.”
She has composed an extensive collection of soundtracks for numerous Nollywood film productions, with her credited as the composer for a remarkable total of over 350 soundtracks.
Sharing the video, Tope Alabi wrote; “This really messed me up😥. It was an emotional moment for me at the just concluded IN HIS PRESENCE programme organized by @bidemiolaoba. This is nothing short of God’s grace, and I do not take it for granted. Thank you, Jesus!!!”
