Olowu Taiwo David, also known as Eltee Skhillz, a fast-rising Nigerian music phenomenon and dancer, recently opened out about his tribulations as a young entertainer and the health issues he encountered as a child while pursuing his vocation. He also talked about his stepfather’s attitude to his health problems.
Eltee Skhillz is the step-son of veteran actor Jide Kosoko and the late veteran actress Henrietta Kosoko. Eltee Skhillz was abandoned by his father when he was a child, and Jide Kosoko raised him as a son.
Eltee Skhillz told Hip TV that he had always wanted to be a dancer and musician since he was a child, but that due to circumstances, he could only dance. He claimed that as a child, he enjoyed dancing in the rain so much that he became well-known and was given a moniker. He contracted Pneumonia, a bacterial and viral infection, as a result of his excessive dancing in the rain.

When he was diagnosed with Pneumonia, his father cautioned him that dancing would put him in danger in the future. Jide Kosoko, his stepfather, had always yelled at him to attend to school instead of dancing.
“It was not easy for me to break into the entertainment industry as a kid,” he remarked. The industry wasn’t always as large as it is now. Everyone knew when I was a kid that what I was doing was exactly what you wanted to do. I wanted to sing and dance, but there was no music, so I had to dance. They used to refer to me as ‘Alajota.’ In the rain, I used to dance. Pneumonia even danced in the rain with me. My father said to me when I had Pneumonia, ” Didn’t I tell you that this dance of your will implicate you’.”
