Nse Ikpe-Etim spoke candidly about how two of her pals hooked up with men she was dating at the time during an interview with media personality Toke Makinwa for her podcast, Toke Moments. Here is what Nse Ikpe-Etim said since it is really intriguing.
“Have any of your friends ever looked at your man and said mmm, he looks good?”
NSE IKPE-ETIM: Mine didn’t even happen once, mine happened twice. I will really talk about the second one because I don’t give a [fuck]. So we stayed together, we being friends, she stayed at mine–

“Wait hold on! You were dating somebody and she had something to do with the person while you were dating this someone?”
NSE IKPE-ETIM: Yes. She even married him. That one hurt! I didn’t stay friends with this one because she’s no longer there in the marriage [laughs].
stay friends with this one because she’s no longer there in the marriage [laughs].
“How did you work through being friends with someone that did that kind of thing to you?”
NSE IKPE-ETIM: So because there are two people here: the first one, yeah I questioned [the friendship]. The second one, I didn’t carry on with the friendship. I cut her off immediately because that hit so bad. And the thing is, not because I wanted to marry him or anything. I didn’t know what he did for a living. Even though he said he did one thing, I wasn’t quite sure. But “could you deliver a letter?” and from delivering a letter, this person [got intimate with my boyfriend]. Unfortunate. When I discuss these things with my own husband now, and he’s looking at me and wondering how do people just make it seem like it’s drinking water?
With the first one that happened to me, that was the one that prepared me for everything else I saw. You know, it happened, and she broke the news to me. I hadn’t broken up with the guy and they started seeing each other and she told me. Let me call it an affair because, let me describe the scenario: now you’re in a car, you’re sat in front as the girlfriend and then the other chick is behind, and then instead of shifting his gear, he’s touching her. And I’m seeing this with my side eye, and I said alright. Confirmed.
“You saw it?”
NSE IKPE-ETIM: Of course yes, but what do you do?
“What do you mean what do you do?”
NSE IKPE-ETIM: You just look straight on. That’s on them. Excuse me? You’re being sneaky, that’s not on me. I carried on like nothing happened. I didn’t want to say I saw it, you did it, because I did [eventually] ask and I was told I had paranoia. So there you go! You get gaslit for nothing. There’s no need to hear that. So I left it, and then when it came out, I said okay.
