Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk has explained how his team’s adaptability is playing a crucial role in their pursuit of the Premier League title. “We cannot deny that we have had so many injuries and we have lost big players, so we have to adapt, but it is also a big credit to the players who have stepped up and taken their chances,” Van Dijk stated.
He stressed the need for everyone to contribute in the team’s pursuit of success on multiple fronts, highlighting the quality of the squad. Despite the challenges, Liverpool showcased their ability to punish opponents, as demonstrated in the win against Brentford.
Van Dijk also addressed the significance of Saturday’s victory, considering their past difficulties at Brentford, stating, “There can be no questions about the resilience of the team at this point. We have shown in the last couple of seasons we always try and find a way.”
