Real Madrid youngster Vinicius Tobias has announced his departure from the club via social media, with Vinicius Junior reacting to the news, as reported by Sportskeeda. The 20-year-old right-back is leaving Santiago Bernabeu as his contract expires at the end of June, having made only one senior appearance for the team.

Tobias took to Instagram to express gratitude to the club and its staff, stating, “It was two rewarding years of learning, experience, and growth. To the technical staff, directors, and teammates, my heartfelt thanks. I’m grateful for the opportunity to wear this shirt.”

Vinicius Junior, who trained alongside Tobias, commented on the post with a brief “Good luck, bro.” Although they never played together in a competitive match for Real Madrid, the Brazil international evidently developed a bond with the young defender.

Tobias’s departure was somewhat expected due to his limited senior team playing time. He accumulated 61 appearances for Real Madrid Castilla but did not score a goal. With the arrival of Kylian Mbappe, competition for first-team spots is set to intensify, presenting challenges for young talents like Tobias to break through.

Meanwhile, another promising Real Madrid player, Alvaro Rodriguez, is reportedly departing due to sparse game opportunities. The 19-year-old forward has made just one La Liga appearance and is drawing interest from Getafe and Rayo Vallecano.

As Real Madrid continues to refine its squad, some young talents are finding it challenging to establish themselves. Nevertheless, Tobias and Rodriguez’s departures also signify opportunities for them to progress and mature elsewhere.
