Wasiu Oduwole described his experience as follows: “I am a pepper soup chef, and on the 20th of September, 2022, my godfather hired me to cook for party attendees at a hotel in Sagamu, Ogun State. However, there was a complaint that there wasn’t enough soup, so I went to the hotel bar and apologized to the celebrant and her husband. When I got to the pub, I bumped into the celebrants and the queen, who were all talking. I praised the elderly woman during our talk for her ability to dance well despite her age and for understanding the lyrics to the song that was being played.
The king approached us and inquired about me, but I identified myself, the speaker said. Then, the king stormed out in anger. I was taken to ask the king by the celebrant’s husband, and I stated that I wasn’t dancing with his wife. I wanted to kneel before the king and apologize but the monarch kicked my eye. The eye quickly detached from its socket. Since then, doctors have informed me that the eye has become blind. I’m in pain because of the disease. I skipped the queen’s ballroom dance.
