Napoli striker Victor Osimhen and Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi will be absent from the Super Eagles team during the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Zimbabwe’s Harambe Stars and Lesotho’s Crocodiles.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) released the squad list for the November matches, revealing that Osimhen sustained an injury during Nigeria’s friendly against Saudi Arabia, while Ndidi will miss the games due to injury concerns.
AC Milan’s recent acquisition, Samuel Chukwueze, is also notably missing from the list, but there’s inclusion for the under-fire goalkeeper Francis Uzoho.

The three-time African champions will face Lesotho’s Crocodiles on November 16 at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo before confronting Zimbabwe on the 19th of the same month. Nigeria is in Group C of the qualification series alongside South Africa, Rwanda, Benin, Zimbabwe, and Lesotho.
