The tragic news of Muonagor’s passing has stunned many, particularly in light of a recent viral video circulating online. The video depicts a family member making a heartfelt plea for financial aid to facilitate the actor’s kidney transplant.

Despite extensive efforts to raise funds for his medical treatment, Muonagor’s health continued to deteriorate, ultimately resulting in his untimely passing.

His death was disclosed by a social commentator, Otunba, via his X handle, on Sunday, March 24th 2024.

He wrote; “Sad news. Nollywood legend, Amaechi Muonagor is dead, may his soul rest in peace 🙏🏼🙏🏼.”

He was an actor and producer. In 2016, he was nominated for AMVCA 2017 Best Actor in a comedy.

In 1989, after his youth service, Muonagor started working for the News Agency of Nigeria. He left his job a few years later for an acting role in his first movie as Akunatakasi in Taboo 1, a Nigerian movie.
