According to Bosun Tijani, minister of communications, innovation, and digital economy, the federal government has established a $609 million fund for ICT entrepreneurs in Nigeria for the following four years.
Speaking at the current 2023 Nordic Nigeria Connect in Lagos, Tijani stated that as telecommunications is the largest provider of services, the nation should form alliances to assist its population in accessing these services.

The minister said that the government should create the nation that we need to see, one in which the private sector plays a role in addition to that of the government.
“The goal of criticizing the government should be to help it learn; therefore, in order to help the government improve, we should critique it using facts and evidence.”
Remember that Yemi Osinbajo, the former vice president of Nigeria, called on African governments and the private sector to do more to encourage the growth of innovation in the continent when he announced in March a $600 million program for young Nigerians in the technology and creative industries.
