One of the residents there gave him the phone, saying that the people who kidnapped him had already taken it. After that, we instructed him to file a report at the local police station; the on-duty policeman who spoke with us said he was in mokwa
After that, arrangements were made and he received the transportation funds; he arrived in Ibadan on Wednesday and went to bed. His relatives are in Ibadan. Today, he will return to Abeokuta.
Temitope had informed our correspondent on Sunday that her husband had failed to return home on Wednesday, January 17, after leaving for work.
Our correspondent received confirmation of the incident earlier in the week from SP Omolola Odutola, the spokesperson for the Ogun State Police Command.
According to Odutola, “On Wednesday, January 17 at approximately 7 p.m., one Temitope reported the case of a missing person involving one Olumide Openaike. It is reported that he has a fair complexion.
“The state’s police formations are already aware of this, and we will continue to spread the word to provide enough publicity in the hopes of eventually locating him and bringing him back to his family.”
