Nigerian billionaire, Obinna Iyiegbu, alias Obi Cubana, has broken his silence just hours after being released from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s detention.
On Monday, November 1st, 2021, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission detained Obi Cubana for money laundering.
The Anambra-born club owner, who arrived at the offices of the EFCC in Jabi, Abuja, at midday on Monday, was quizzed by operatives of the commission.

A source in the EFCC said that Obi Cubana’s case borders on suspected money laundering and tax fraud. Since then, many Nigerians and acquaintances of the socialite have expressed their displeasure with her arrest.
However, Obi Cubana was released on Tuesday afternoon, 2nd November 2021, after being interrogated for several hours.
Sharing a photo of himself after his release from EFCC custody, Obi Cubana expressed love for everyone who had reached out to him, adding that he’s unbroken.
