For the seventh time, an ex-cobbler known as “Uganda’s Ugliest Man” has become a parent.
Godfrey Baguma, 47, and his wife Kate Namanda, 30, welcomed a daughter. Baguma is thought to have a rare, undiagnosed medical condition.
Baguma won the unfavorable title in 2002 after competing in order to get money for his struggling family.

Godfrey had two children with his first wife before he married Kate, but their marriage ended when he discovered her having an extramarital affair.
Godfrey explained how he first courted Kate to KFM, saying, “I remained with her for four years before her people realized where she was.”
I didn’t want them to see me until we had a child because they would definitely advise her to leave me.
‘She left me when she was six months pregnant but I think she later accepted her fate because she came back two months later’.
