Former Manchester United striker, Dimitar Berbatov, has cautioned Kobbie Mainoo against getting carried away by his standout performance for the Red Devils against Everton. Berbatov issued this warning in anticipation of Manchester United’s UEFA Champions League clash against Galatasaray on Wednesday.

Mainoo, having made his inaugural Premier League start for Manchester United in the recent match against Everton at Goodison Park, impressed with the team securing a 3-0 victory. The 18-year-old is now expected to feature in the starting lineup for the critical Champions League fixture against Galatasaray.

Speaking about Mainoo, Berbatov, in a statement to Betfair, emphasized the need for caution and highlighted that the young midfielder may face challenging games in the future.

“Lots of people are rightly praising Kobbie Mainoo’s performance. Let’s hope it is the first of many because sometimes we are too quick to jump to conclusions,” remarked Berbatov.

“Just let the boy be, let’s hope he’s going to continue on the path of his development and let’s hope he will have many more games like this. He will have difficult games in the future.
