Two people have been taken into custody by the Nigeria Police Force’s Ondo State Command in relation to the reported death of socialite Oladoyinbo Sunday, the command stated on Friday.

Sunday’s lifeless body was recovered in Ijapo Estate in Akure, the Ondo State capital, on December 10, 2024, by policemen.

According to a statement made by Mrs. Funmilayo Odunlami, the Police Public Relations Officer, the suspects were apprehended after the state command gathered intelligence.

The PPRO stated, “One Atinuke Adeniyi, age 29, was apprehended by the SWAT team through intelligence-led policing. She claimed that she and the deceased were having an affair, and that the day before the corpse was dumped, they had made out in an Ijapo brothel. After that, the deceased began convulsing, and she abandoned him out of fear and quietly left the room.”

“The suspect led the police squad to the brothel, where the proprietor, 50-year-old Adeojo Ilesanmi, was taken into custody. He acknowledged that he brought the body to the location where it was discovered and said that he was terrified to learn that the victim had died in his brothel.
