Two suspects have reportedly been taken into custody by the Kaduna State Police Command for allegedly stealing a generator and solar battery from a mosque in Kaduna.

This was revealed in Kaduna on Saturday by ASP Mansir Hassan, the command’s Police Public Relations Officer.

According to Hassan, detectives on Thursday detained the suspect and took him to the station in the state’s Hunkuyi Local Government Area’s Sabon Garin neighborhood based on reliable information.

He stated, “The suspect was arrested for acting suspiciously around the mosque.”

According to him, during interrogation, he confessed to having stolen a generator and solar battery at Hunkuyi and Nahuce villages in their mosque.

The suspect went on to say that he gave the second suspect the stolen goods.

Hassan stated, “Some exhibits were recovered, and the investigation is ongoing. Upon completion of the investigation, the suspects will be charged in court.”
