Primate Elijah Ayodele of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church has slammed Pastor Tunde Bakare of the Citadel Global Community Church for his remarks on standing for president in 2023.
Pastor Bakare has now been told by Primate Ayodele to focus on his missionary work and avoid mismanaging God’s grace in his life.

After meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday, Bakare stated that if God and Nigerians urge him to, he will run for the post.
Bakare, on the other hand, cannot win an election in his church, let alone in Nigeria, according to Ayodele.
In a statement released by his media aide, Oluwatosin Osho, the priest counseled him to spend his money on the less fortunate in his church rather than squandering it on things that have no spiritual value.
“Tunde Bakare is misusing God’s grace in his life and ministry. His aim of becoming President of Nigeria is unattainable; he can’t even win an election in his church, never alone in Nigeria.
If he has money, he should put it to good use by helping the least fortunate in his church rather than wasting his time.
“Tunde Bakare should unwind, set aside his ambition to become Nigeria’s president, and focus on the missionary work that God has called him to.” “He needs to preach the gospel and win more people for Christ,” he stated.
Bakare had established the ‘Nigeria For Nigeria’ movement in July. He defined the campaign as a way to reclaim Nigeria from the grip of those in authority.
Primate Ayodele, on the other hand, has denounced the movement as a way to enslave Nigerians and as part of Tunde Bakare’s political ambitions.
