An collision near the PDP Road intersection on the Isaac Boro Expressway in Yenagoa, the capital of Bayelsa State, claimed one life on Friday.
According to reports, the deceased was the driver of a truck, a tricycle known as a “keke,” and a tanker that were all involved in the collision.
It was reported that the truck driver, the keke rider, and three of the female passengers were hurt in the collision.

It was discovered that, with the assistance of some locals, some Federal Road Safety Corps officers who had arrived on the scene soon after the event managed to extricate the conductor’s body from the debris.
According to a source, the deceased sprang from the speeding vehicle and became stuck beneath the truck, where he was crushed when the driver attempted to regain control after striking the tipper and the keke.
It was also reported that the tanker immediately after the collision leaked its contents onto the road.
An unnamed eyewitness claimed that the tanker driver had tried to stop the car from hitting a gas station on the left side of the road earlier, but he was blocked by the fence around a well-liked hangout on the right, which is where the conductor was killed.
Melvin Goodnews, the keke rider who survived the collision, claimed that the truck struck his bike because he had slowed down and was waiting for the tanker to turn.
My keke fell, and all I can recall is that I only saw the tires moving. He continued, “I was carrying three people inside my keke, and one of them had a big wound on her leg. If the truck hadn’t hit the tanker, it would have killed us all.
