Campos is after the France midfielder since he is aware that the player just turned down a new contract offer from Chelsea.
Although Kante left the door open for further discussions, The Times reports that PSG and Campos are still interested.

The 31-year-old is in the final year of his current contract, therefore PSG is free to sign him to a pre-contract starting on January 1.
Kante has struggled with persistent ailments so far this season.

Kante was offered a two-year contract by Chelsea with an option to extend it by one more year, but the French midfielder declined the offer because the previous management was prepared to give him a three-year agreement with an extension clause at the end of the third season.
