Chippa United’s backup goalkeeper, Sean Louw, has disclosed that Nigerian international Stanley Nwabali’s aspiration is to join the ranks of South African powerhouse, Kaizer Chiefs.

Nwabali played a significant role in Nigeria’s runner-up finish at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire, drawing interest from clubs beyond South Africa’s borders.

According to Louw, Nwabali had set his sights on Kaizer Chiefs even before the AFCON. “His childhood dream was always to play for Kaizer Chiefs,” Louw revealed. “But even I, my childhood dream was to play for Kaizer Chiefs, so I don’t blame him.”

Louw advised Nwabali to participate in the AFCON before pursuing his dream move to Kaizer Chiefs. “In the beginning of this season, he wanted to play for Kaizer Chiefs,” Louw explained. “But I said to him, before you speak to Kaizer Chiefs, first go to Afcon because you will win the Afcon and you will be so much more worth than at Kaizer Chiefs with all due respect.”

Throughout the season, Nwabali has featured in 27 matches across all competitions, conceding 26 goals while recording 11 clean sheets.
