Neves has a release clause of £105 million, but Benfica will reportedly consider offers of around £85 million for the 22-year-old.

Asked about speculation linking Neves to Manchester United, Silva was quoted by Metro UK as saying:

“I told him to go to Manchester City. I would like to see him by my side. But I want the best for him.”
