Transfer: Maresca Bans Chelsea Midfielder from First-Team Squad to Force Exit

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has banned Conor Gallagher from the first-team group, according to talkSPORT.

Gallagher has been removed from the dressing room after the Blues accepted a £33 million bid from Atletico Madrid for the midfielder. However, Gallagher wants to leave on his own terms.

Out of contract in 2025, Gallagher has also rejected two recent offers from Chelsea for a two-year extension. The club has informed the 24-year-old that he will not be training with the first team when they return from their pre-season tour of the United States.
