Transfer: Manchester City Announce Deal for Fujino

Manchester City announced on Friday the signing of Japan international Aoba Fujino on a three-year contract.

The 20-year-old forward will join her new Manchester City teammates at the inaugural Perth International Football Cup later this month, following the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Fujino, who will wear the number 20 shirt, is a two-time winner of the WE League Valuable Player Award from her three seasons with Tokyo Verdy Beleza.

After the signing, Fujino expressed her excitement, saying, “This is a very big club with a lot of history, so I’m really excited to come here.”
