Manchester United have made a decision regarding the future of striker Joshua Zirkzee, who has struggled to make an impact since joining the club from Bologna.

The 23-year-old Dutch striker has attracted interest from several Italian clubs in the current January transfer window. Despite a promising season with Bologna in 2023-24, where he scored 11 goals to help the club qualify for the Champions League, Zirkzee has yet to find his footing at Old Trafford.

United spent over โ‚ฌ40 million to bring Zirkzee in as a direct replacement for Anthony Martial under manager Erik ten Hag, but the striker has only managed three goals since his arrival.

Reports from Fichajes.net indicate that Manchester United is concerned about Zirkzee’s development but is committed to helping him succeed, even if it means sending him out on loan. Bologna is reportedly open to re-signing him on loan, while Juventus and Napoli have also shown interest.

Zirkzee started in the recent match against Newcastle United but was substituted in the 33rd minute with his side trailing 2-0 at home.
