Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher persists, although they are exploring alternative midfield options ahead of the summer transfer window, according to 90min sources.
Gallagher’s contract at Stamford Bridge runs until the end of the 2024/25 season. While Chelsea are contemplating his future and the potential sale of another academy product, they are unlikely to finalize any decisions until the summer. If Gallagher were to be sold, Chelsea would seek a fee in the region of the £55m package they received for Mason Mount from Manchester United last year.
However, Tottenham’s valuation of Gallagher falls between £35m and £40m, posing a stumbling block that deterred them from pursuing a deal last summer and prevented significant progress in the January window.

Tottenham’s pursuit of Gallagher may be hindered by the challenge of facilitating an expensive transfer while also addressing other areas of the squad.
In addition to Gallagher, Tottenham are exploring various midfield options, including Wolves’ Brazilian international Joao Gomes, who has also attracted interest from Arsenal and Manchester United. Leicester City’s Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is another target, potentially available for a fee around £25m if Leicester fail to secure promotion to the Premier League this season.
Tottenham are also eyeing reinforcements in the winger position. They have the option to make Timo Werner’s loan move from RB Leipzig permanent for approximately £15m, and Wolves’ Pedro Neto is admired, though his £80m valuation may present a challenge.
Should Tottenham have room in their budget, they may seek a replacement for Harry Kane, who departed for Bayern Munich. Richarlison and Son Heung-min have deputized up front, while youngster Alejo Veliz spent the latter half of the season on loan at Sevilla.
