Tottenham had to orchestrate yet another late comeback to secure victory against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
The first half proved challenging for Spurs as they struggled to break down their resilient visitors. Despite a stunning free kick from Eberechi Eze that put Palace ahead after the break, Tottenham rallied late to secure the win.
Oliver Glasner’s Eagles, under new management, were denied a second consecutive victory, dropping to 14th in the table. Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham, on the other hand, are now only two points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa.

Timo Werner missed a golden opportunity to give Tottenham the lead in the 18th minute. After winning the ball back following a Palace free kick, Son Heung-min delivered an outstanding ball over the top to the German. However, Werner failed to round Sam Johnstone when through on goal, allowing the visitors to clear the danger.
The first half remained tense and cagey, with both teams heading into the break on level terms.
After the break, Werner sent a superb cross through the six-yard box, but no Tottenham player could connect with it.
Controversy arose when Tottenham appealed for a penalty as Werner seemed to be clipped by Daniel Munoz, but the referee awarded a corner, and VAR did not recommend a change of decision.
Tottenham’s frustration continued as Son hit the post after meeting a low cross from Dejan Kulusevski.
Eberechi Eze capitalized on Tottenham’s wastefulness, firing Palace ahead with a powerful free kick after being tripped by Rodrigo Bentancur on the edge of the box.
Tottenham initiated their quest for an equalizer, with Son’s scuffed shot easily saved by Johnstone. Another opportunity went begging as Brennan Johnson skied his half-volley from close range.
With just under 15 minutes remaining, Tottenham leveled the score. Johnson won the ball back and set up Werner, who netted his first goal for Spurs.
In their next attack, Tottenham took the lead as Cristian Romero headed home a bouncing throw-in from Emerson Royal.
The points were sealed on 88 minutes when Son capitalized on a failed Palace clearance, racing in behind to fire beyond Johnstone.
