Davido

Ifeanyi, the son of famous popstar Davido and lover Chioma Rowland, died on Monday night after being discovered drowned in their Lagos Banana Island residence’s swimming pool. The incident happened just a few days after Ifeanyi turned three.

Eucharia Anunobi

On August 22, 2017, the Owerri-born actress-turned-evangelist lost her 15-year-old son to sickle cell anemia. Her death occurred after a contentious divorce from her husband. Eucharia’s son was his only child.

D’Banj

Daniel Oyebanjo, D’banj’s son, was reportedly discovered dead in his father’s swimming pool.

Mr. Ibu

Mr. Ibu, a Nollywood actor and comedian, lost his son, Emmanuel Mandela Okafor, when he was two years old.

According to reports, Emmanuel became ill and was admitted to LUTH. Unfortunately, he did not survive.

Remi Surutu is one of the beautiful Yoruba actresses who lost a child to the cold hands of death. On Saturday, July 1, 2017, Remi Oshodi Surutu lost her daughter, Ayomikun, to the sickle cell anemia disease

“I plan to immortalise my daughter by establishing a foundation in her honour. This is because she was always willing to impact people’s lives. I never knew I was going to lose my daughter, but she was encouraging me to go ahead to start helping people”

“Despite being hospitalised at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, my daughter insisted that I offset other patients’ medical bills.

Toyin Afolayan;

The popular Yoruba actresses, Toyin Afolayan lost her only son many years ago. She lost her son as a baby and also lost her husband, it’s really a painful past for the beautiful actress.

On having just female children, Lola Idije stated that she believes she has been destined to give birth to only girls so she isn’t bothered about not having a male child.

The 61 year old further revealed that she had a male child for her late husband but lost him as a baby. Lola Idije confessed that the death of her male child is the saddest thing that ever happened to her. Regardless, the popular actress is grateful to God that her female children are doing well.

In her words, “There is nothing wrong about all of them being girls. It’s God that gives children and anyone He gives you, you just have to thank Him because you can’t create anything let alone a child. I am always a happy mother, I am contented with what God has done in my life.”

She added that her greatest achievement is the fact that God helped her to take care of my children and today, she is reaping the fruit of her labour on them.
