Dr. Mukhtar is up to the task, according to Ngelale, having served as the African Development Bank’s (AfDB) most recent Director of Industry & Trade Development. Before joining the AfDB, Dr. Mukhtar was the Group Chief Strategy Officer of the Dangote Group of Industries. In this capacity, he was instrumental in the conglomerate’s growth into fourteen African countries for its cement production footprint, as well as significant joint ventures in the electricity, oil and gas, and agriculture sectors.
